Provision of Individual Consultancy Service to Conduct an End of Project Evaluation International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE)
The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) /Accelerating Inclusive Green Growth through Agri-based Digital Innovations (AGriDI) seeks to engage the services of a consultant to carry out an end of project evaluation for the AGriDI project. The Evaluation includes an assessment of the outcome results and lessons learned from the implementation of the AGriDI project which will contribute to accountability, learning, decision-making and inform future design of similar projects. Results of the evaluation will be used by the EU, West Africa governments and icipe in promoting digital based agricultural innovations for the enhancement of farmers’ participation in agricultural production and in the produce markets. Icipe now invites interested, qualified individuals who are able to demonstrate technical capability to successfully deliver the above-mentioned assignment.
Eligibility
- Have a PhD in social science, ICT, agriculture, environment and natural resources, business manage-ment, monitoring and evaluation or other relevant discipline with at least 5 years’ proven experience in programme evaluation in Sub Sahara Africa (SSA); or MSc degree with at least 10 years’ proven experience in programme evaluation in SSA.
- Strong knowledge on the development issues in SSA, national and regional science, technology and innovation policies as well as the AU Agenda 2063 and SDGs.
- Strong logical sense of political, economic, social and environmental situation in western Africa.
- A good understanding of innovation and the role universities and public research institutes play in the process of transferring knowledge to end users.
- Practical experience in commercializing technology, business incubation and technology start up is an added advantage.
